2nd Annual Lakeland Center Putt-Putt Invitational!
Thursday, September 9th

It’s back!  We had so much fun raising money for the BIA last year that we just had to do it again!  For those of you that did not participate last year, The Putt-Putt Invitational is just like a typical golf outing, with a few exceptions.  Take out the stress of shotgun starts, picking which club to use, and keeping the cart on the trail, and you’ll have the most relaxing golf outing of the summer!!

There are a couple of exciting additions to this year’s fundraiser that I can’t wait to share with everyone! This year we’ve added a dinner reception at Pasquale’s in order to give proper recognition to our award winners, and to recover from a stressful afternoon on the course!  We will also have a small auction at the dinner reception and we’ll have some really fun items that will help us raise even more money for the BIA!  Best of all, the food is phenomenal and the restaurant is right around the corner from the putt-putt course.

The event will again be benefiting The Brain Injury Association of Michigan, and there are several different ways to participate. We are offering several Sponsorship Packages to businesses interested in participating in the networking/promotional opportunities this event will provide.  You can also sign up with your co-workers and stop by for an afternoon of putt-putt or join us for just the dinner portion of the event.

The Putt-Putt Invitational will be held on Thursday September 9th at the Royal Oak Golf Center, at 3500 Edgar Ave., from 3pm-6pm.  Stop by at whatever time is convenient for you, but please RSVP so we have enough food, beverages, and prizes!  We are really looking forward to this event, and hope everyone can come out to enjoy a fun and relaxing afternoon while raising some money for charity.

Celebrating 20 Years in the Community

Twenty years ago, The Lakeland Group started as a small Traumatic Brain Injury rehabilitation unit within a nursing facility in Rochester Hills.  Quickly outgrowing that space Lakeland moved to the first floor of Franklin Manor, a nursing home in Southfield.  It wasn’t long before we again needed more space, and Franklin Manor then became The Lakeland Center.  Our services at the main nursing facility have since expanded and we now service patients with all rehab needs, as well as hospice, respite, and long term care.  The facility is also able to accommodate high acuity patients, including ventilators and wound care.  Wanting to provide a continuum of care for those TBI patients that are ready to leave the nursing center, 6 group homes were opened in Oakland County.  The Lakeland Center also offers outpatient rehab for discharged patients and those at home.
